Sexual Consent Education and Implementation Workshop

Think, Speak, Respond is a workshop designed to get individuals involved in the conversation about sexual consent, sexual assault, date rape, rape, and dating violence.

Think. Speak. Respond. Is an engaging workshop that allows Colleges and Universities to educate students, faulty and staff on issues relating to sexual assault, consent, dating violence and other relevant issues. 

Component 1

Think. 

Designed to educate individuals on the definitions and concepts surrounding consent, withdrawing consent, date rape, and sexual assault.

Component 2

Speak. 

Allows students to voice opinions and concerns about consent, date rape, and sexual assault. After expereiencing sexual assault and consent from both male and female prospectives.

Component 3

Respond.

Challenges individuals to post a short video to social media  of themsevles having a conversation about consent, sexual assault, or dating violence using this hashtag #thinkspeakrespond

Title IX Compliance

The Clery Act was expanded in 2013 by the Campus SAVE Act, which broadened Clery requirements to address all incidents of sexual violence. Colleges and Universities must have awareness programs for incoming students and employees, as well as ongoing prevention and awareness campaigns.

Program and campaign topics:

 

Prohibition of dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking

 

Definitions of dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking

 

Definition of consent for sexual activity within the local jurisdiction

 

Bystander intervention including safe and positive options to prevent harm or intervene when there is a risk

 

Risk reduction to recognize warning signs of abusive behavior or potential attack
